Perfect Love!

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:3
"I am the good Shepard: the good Shepard giveth His life for His sheep." John 10:11

I decided today I'm not going to write anything, just share a video with you all, the video speaks volumes, it even caused me to tear up. Some of you may already know of the story in this video. I'm not certain when this came out, but I first heard of it back in the 90's when I was really young, might have been about 5 or 6, it's amazing the things I am able to remember. Somebody told me about this story and I've thought about it several times over the years, but never heard the story told anywhere else, never heard anybody ever mention it since the first time I saw it, so I thought maybe I made it all up in my head. I was really young and had a big imagination, didn't have many toys so my imagination kept me occupied and out of trouble.
Yesterday I was on youtube and came across a video and read the description and was blown away,  it was the story I heard about as a child, it's real! I didn't make it up! Others know of it! I was so glad. Then I watched the video, and as I watched it I thought to myself, I think I even saw this when I was little but only remembered fragments, little snapshots in my mind. This story is sooooo touching if you don't feel something after watching this, I honestly don't know what to say. The message behind it is so beautiful and familiar. The narration is so awesome along with the video, really makes the video even more powerful.  Please watch, even share if you like. I would love to hear everyone's take after viewing the video. It's almost 20 minutes long but I promise you worth the watch

Yes, that is very true, the sacrificial love of God is the only love that can bring us eternal life, a life where there is no death, and that life can only be found in Jesus. God brings us to evangelize in many ways and I'm sure that this video will speak to many people on utube.

Your right. I hope many people see this video on youtube and it stirs up something in them that makes them think about how great a sacrifice God made for each and everyone of us, and even takes them to a place where they can hear God calling and asking them to repent. Thanks for your feedback Brenda. :-)

That was so beautiful and profound, so true and so well made. I wept and wept thinking of the love of Christ and the love of His Father in giving Christ up for me. How much pain was involved in a decision like that and how much love. The wisdom of such a decision is beyond anything this world can give us. Could I sacrifice my own child to save others like this father [The Father] did? It reminds us of His deep love for us. He could have allowed us all to perish in the beginning during the flood. He could have given up on mankind a long time ago. But God just keeps working and forgiving, and loving and sparing us. I was surprised to find myself say the words "worth it" out loud at the exact same time the preacher said it as the Father realized that by sacrificing His own son, He allowed others to experience love (the woman with her child). Thank you for sharing this as a reminder of what God gave to me in His son Jesus!!

P.S. Here's the link if you would like to add some things to your blog like the bouncing, sparkly, heart you saw on mine. Let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy!

Thanks for checking out the video. May of us know the story of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, this story puts it in a way where we as humans are put in Gods place for a sec. Would we sacrifice our own child for strangers, the Bible said how a person would hardly give their life for a good person, so imagine the persons on this train.

Your so very right, God from the beginning of time has been working and forgiving and loving and saving us. You mentioned how He could have washed us all away in the flood but He didn't. We could go even further back, He could have put an end to Adam and Eve after they broke His heart and disobeyed Him in the guardian, the catalyst for all our current woes, but God didn't, He loves us, a love we may never fully understand but nevertheless He does.

One common pattern I have noticed all throughout the bible. He preserves a remnant, whether it be through the Judges or persons like Esther, or the Prophet's and ultimately through His Son, He makes sure preserve the remnant. God is Love.

Thanks for sending the link for the sparkly things, I will be checking it out. Hopefully I figure out how to get it onto my page.

This is so profound! Got me thinking through and through...indeed greater love has no man than this. His Love is everlasting...sometimes, He does certain things for me that makes me wonder why he loves me so much!

Thanks for sharing and, for visiting my blog, you have a lovely blog too... I am following you so you bet I will be here again and again!

Hi Sateigdra,

I just had to comment in response to that great point you made about God always keeping a remnant. That's right!! That's a show of mercy and one I try to recommend others see. How easily could He simply wipe us away. He doesn't want to wipe us away, He wants us to be with Him. I heard it once said that the angels were made to obey His every command and as such, they are like angelic robots. But we are the only beings with free-will to choose and with that, He has endowed us with the most unique trait of all, the one that allows Him to surround Himself with those who choose Him and love Him because we want to, strive to, and work to stay with Him throughout our generation.

P.S. I'm technically illiterate and everything you see on my blog had to be the simplest of add-ons. So the link to the animations I gave you is as as simple as they come:

open the website and choose your animation>click the item and choose the option "HTML Code" from the menu beneath your chosen animation and click it (no right clicking needed)>then open your blog and choose "layout">click the "edit" from the section you want to add the animation>when the options box opens choose HTML>when that box opens right click within that box and click "paste" from your menu and it will paste the code into the box>click save beneath that box>then view the blog to verify that it's where you want it. If it's not, simply drag and drop it to where you want it and then click "save arrangement."

You probably didn't need all that but I thought I'd give you step by step instructions as that always helps me. Good luck!

Thanks again Kelline, I think I did need those instructions because I went on the site yesterday and didn't know what to do. Now I just got to decide where exactly i want to place the object on my page. :-)

Hi Sateigdra, I have been having some issues with Blogger and some blogs. (see my recent post) I believe your blog is one of them. Anyway, I found a way around it for now. THank you for sharing and many blessings to you.
